Fletcher Building’s Workforce Implementation Journey
Fletcher Building’s implementation journey is a transformation, business alignment and adaptability story. Cheryl O’Brien, Head of NZ Payroll and Credit Management and Claire Woodbury, Payroll Systems Lead, shared their experience of securing early buy-in and leveraging internal expertise for a partner-driven approach to managing business-as-usual (BAU) support and continuous learning. With a phased rollout still in progress, they reflected on several key lessons learned. Cheryl and Claire told conference-goers how to navigate evolving workforce implementations, optimise knowledge transfer and pivot strategies mid-rollout.

Importance of a Holistic Approach to Workforce Management and Project Management Essentials
A veteran speaker at VISION, a global leader in healthcare and life sciences, led two sessions. First, he discussed how organisations can balance global standards with regional flexibility to streamline processes, maintain compliance and create a scalable workforce strategy. During the session, he emphasised that traditional approaches to time and attendance management are no longer sufficient to meet the growing demands for automation, compliance and employee experience. In the second session, he explained how effective project management is the foundation of a well-structured and successful program. He covered best practices, common pitfalls and provided attendees with actionable insights to refine their approach on future initiatives.

Looking Ahead at 2025 WorkForce Software Innovations
Nicole Neumarker, Chief Operating Officer at WorkForce Software and her team kicked off the second day of the conference by highlighting product advancements from 2024, including API expansion, improved UX experience of our scheduling solution and advanced data analytics. She also discussed this year’s priorities which are to expand updates on the UX experience across different solutions within WorkForce Suite and increase product integration capabilities.

Driving Innovation Through Change and Collaboration
This joint session between WorkForce Software and an automotive parts manufacturer explored how the company drove innovation by empowering supervisors with tools and visibility previously reserved for payroll teams. The focus was on how the company’s response to local labour laws in Mexico evolved into a broader strategy to shift ownership to frontline leaders—freeing up payroll teams and improving scheduling accuracy. Attendees were given guidance on how to navigate system limitations, push beyond traditional roles and ask the right questions to expand platform usage and unlock new efficiencies.

Lani Hoffmann-Davis, Consulting Manager at Rizing, led a session to see how the Workforce Software Leave module can revolutionise an organisation’s leave management strategy and help them manage short-term and long-term absences, facilitate seamless return-to-work programs and handle workplace accommodations with ease.

Castle & Cooke’s Coming Full Circle With Time Clock Attestations in the Classic WTA Environment
After meeting with the web clock team at last year’s VISION about Time Clock Attestation capabilities, Castle & Cooke committed to attestation adoption last fall and finalised go-live for all locations in March 2025. In his session, Robaire Warren, HRIS Manager at Castle & Cooke shared his perspective on the process. From the first go-live to phased implementation, he highlighted the things that went well, areas where employees still struggled when submitting time and plans for what’s next.

Optimisation Framework: Drive New Value from Your WFM Solution
Joel Werndorfer, Director, WFS Practice Lead at Accenture introduced OPTIMA, a structured, six-week health check designed to assess, optimise and transform an organisation’s system into a strategic asset.
