Sandra Moran, Chief Customer Experience and Marketing Officer at WorkForce Software spoke with WorkLife for their article titled, “HR leaders brace for January ‘resignation rush’” about the increase in employees resigning at the start of the year. The article highlights how many employees use the start of the year to pursue new opportunities, including job searches. Moran notes that companies should prioritise retaining their top talent due to the significant financial impact of turnover and shares strategies for retention, such as offering flexible rosters.
For shift-oriented workers, different considerations come into play. “What matters most to many employees is having control over their rosters,” said Moran. “To retain top talent, employers can offer improved rostering capabilities that enable employees to shift swap and resolve rostering conflicts themselves.”
